1950s Jaguars had a lot of character and style. We found a pretty nice list on Discovery UK, but here are our top favorites.
Jaguar Mark VII
The Mark VII was truly the beginning of a new era. This was the first Jaguar to offer a manual gearbox option. Also, this model incorporated a brand new 3.4-litre straight-six XK engine. This one was a game-changer for sure.
Jaguar Mark 2
The Mark 2 was an innovation in more ways than one. Its new sleek style became an inspiration for other cars to come. Furthermore, the impressive 220 horsepower and sportscar-like handling made this a unique ride.
Jaguar XK140 SE
The Jaguar Xk140 is still considered to be one of the most attractive sports cars ever made. Powered by a 3.4-liter straight-six, this thing could really move. The SE boosted the horsepower to 210 among other improvements making it one of the best 1950s Jaguars.
We love looking back at the styles and cultures of the 1940s and 1950s. If you enjoy this sort of nostalgia, follow The Greatest Generation on Facebook and Twitter for more. Also, check out our Do You Remember Series for more trips down memory lane.
