Remember Roy Rogers?

Roy Rogers

Do you remember the “King of the Cowboys” superstar, Roy Rogers? If you were fortunate enough to grow up when he was a TV and radio staple, you really can’t forget.

Born Leonard Franklin Slye, Roy Rogers did it all — he was a singer, actor, a popular radio and television host. Rogers appeared in more than 100 films, many with his wife Dale Evans and horse Trigger.

While cowboy culture may not be as big a deal today as it was in the 1940s and 1950s, it is certainly a big part of our history, and Roy Rogers was one of our most influential cowboys.

If you’re feeling nostalgic for these times, check out Rogers’ country classic, “Happy Trails” below.
